Updated: Jan 8

Fridays for future Calendar logo with an arrow pointing to the new Fridays for Future Newsletter logo

The Fridays for Future Calendar is being renamed to Newsletter! we feel “newsletter” better describes the email we send out every month. The links in your Fridays for Future Newsletter now lead to our brand new website. Please explore the website and give any feedback that may help us improve upon what was just created. The website is fridaysforfuturenewsletter.org, and allows us to better share our news. From the website, you can share our articles on social media. Our email address is changing, too. Please send your emails to info@fridaysforfuturenewsletter.org. Soon the newsletter will be send to you using a different sender address, mailer@fridaysforfuturenewsletter.org. Please add this address to your address book so the Newsletter will keep coming to you.

Our mission remains unchanged: to be a voice for individuals, local, and national groups within Fridays for Future. To do our best to reflect the values that are present in Fridays for Future, and to share local, national, and international events and actions. And of course, to discuss important news that happens around the globe relating to climate justice. With our newsletter we hope to inspire you and many more, to fight for climate justice.

As always, if you have any feedback on the Newsletter, please send it to us via email or the contact section on the website.

We are more than just a newsletter. Many new subscribers are looking to join Fridays for Future protests. We try to connect these people to their local FFF groups, or help them set-up a new group. We also offer them training in petitioning, and useful organizing skills. Because the FFF International website is no longer functional, we have an increased challenge to reach local and national groups. We are looking for more contacts to connect new people—please fill out our form on the website ( fridaysforfuturenewsletter.org ) with the email address at which your group can be reached.

We are looking for volunteers to help us with one or more of the following:

  • Outreach

  • Interviews

  • Article writing

  • Article editing

  • Website design

  • Social media

  • Training

  • Translators / writers (French, Spanish, Arabic)

If you’d like to write a one-time article, recommend a news item, or give your opinion on an event, you’re welcome to do so. You can send your article to info@fridaysforfuturenewsletter.org.

We are also looking for donations. The Calendar isn’t possible without donations. The old donation platform stopped, so we are setting up a new donation platform. More on this when a new donation platform is found.

The Calendar group has been here for 5 years (and 2 months), consistently, with hard work, sometimes struggling to make the deadline, but always here, almost for as long as FFF has existed. The first issue was in November 2018, and from July 2023 the Calendar became available in both English and French. Now the Newsletter is available on a website, and we’ll be more visible on social media. To get the Newsletter out, we’ve relied on our steady volunteers, finding interesting news, helping others to write articles, editing, and creating the email we sent out every month. We also rely on guest submissions which make up an important part of our newsletter.

As the current “Editor in chief” of the Newsletter, I’d like to express my gratitude to all the people who have been or are a part of the Newsletter team. The Newsletter wouldn’t have been possible without all the volunteers and one-time writers.

Thank you to all who’ve been a part of our journey in the last 5 years,

Your current editor in chief – Tom

The upcoming changes include, getting on social media channels. Yes, after 5 years of Newsletter we still aren’t on social media, heavily relying on other FFF groups to do so.

Sending you the newsletter from our new domain, our new sender address will be

mailer@fridaysforfuturenewsletter.org. Please add this address to your address book so the Newsletter will keep coming to you.

A poll to check-in with our readers, so upcoming changes may occur due to your input.
